My dad picked me up a Ben Pearson Cougar today at a rummage for 30 bucks. 40# and 28 in draw. Looks like it has a new string on it too Anyone got any suggestions for arrows or anything for it? This is my first recurve and I don't really know anything about them but I am ready to learn! Any input about shooting recurves would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Attachments:

Got arrows for the Princess's recurve from rosecityarchery.com/; they have a good tutorial on selecting arrows on there. Another site that will take all your $$ is www.3riversarchery.com/ I bought several of her accessories from them.

Ditto on 3rivers. Top notch company.
Ditto also on careful arrow selection. Find a chart and obey!
That is a good find for 30 bucks.

Not to be a downer but did you look carefully down the bow with it strung to check for a twisted limb?

When you go to the 3Rivers site: In the top right corner is a link to Stu Miller's Dynamic Spine Calculator. It doesn't get any better than that. All you do is just plug in bow and arrow information and match them up. However, the most critical piece of info you will need is the shelf cut and your bow is not one that is listed. Maybe trapperdave will step in with that piece of information, he knows a bit about Pearson bows.
There are a couple of sites dedicated to trad bows where you can also gain information just by asking. Stickbow.com and TradGang.com are two that come to mind. Good luck with the journey!
