Once in a while buying a new bow crosses my mind but I still felt like mine was fairly new. Earlier this evening I came acrossed a picture of the first deer with this bow dated Oct 7 2004. Didn't realize I have already been through 8 seasons with it with 17 deer kills, a fox and a few squirrels.
Just curious how long you guys go between upgrades?

I believe this will be my 4th season with my current bow. Before that I had went about 12 to 14 years without bowhunting.

78-81 Indian compound,82-90 Bear whitetail II,91-92 Hoyt gamegetter II, 93-2006 Hoyt Excel,2006 to current Hoyt vectric XL. I will be holding onto the vectric for a long time to come These new bows just dont fit into the budget, the accesseries for these thing are just rediculious.

I have hunted since 2004 with reflex bighorn hunter, I bought it used then. I believe the bow is from the late 90's. This year I purchased my first new bow. 2012 hoyt rampage XT. So far I love it, hopefully I will hold onto it for many years to come!!

I like to make a new bow every summer to hunt with. A friend in Michigan just finished up a hunting bow for me so I'll have two new ones this fall. When I get frustrated and fed up with using primitive equipment I dust off my modern bow, a 12 year old Martin compound.

This will be my 16th season with the Mathews Feathermax. I got it the first year they came out with them-1997. Once I put some venison in the freezer, I'll switch to my Deerslayer recurve and try my luck for the 3rd yr in a row (no success so far).

I remember the browning backdraft. I ordered one in the fall of 98. I was 18 at the time. I had to sell it 2 years later to buy diapers and formula for a new baby

I have 3 different recurves that are 35+ years old and a another recurve that is only 2 years old, the older ones are just as deadly as they day they were made.

I had a Darton befor the Backdraft. Bought the Backdraft, moved out of state and kids...and never shot it. I still have it more or less new in a box

I have had 3 new bows in the last 3 years! I know, little silly, however I have given my last two, to two brand new bow hunters as a gift. I guess that was me giving back! I currently shoot with a brand new, just released Athens 2012/2013 Redemption bow. Its not on their web site. If you are interested shoot me a PM. Good luck this year everyone, its expected that hunters will smash some kill records.

3 weeks and haven't shot it yet. I get a new one every year. Might not even shoot this one before its time to upgrade. My TenPoint will be my archery tackle this year

I have no idea. I bought High Country Brute Force used out of the back of a guys trunk at a church softball game. I've had it about 5 years but have no idea how old it was then. It was an upgrade from the bow I did have which was a really old Martin Firecat.
