Today, I "mowed" my lawn for the 1st time since mid May. To be specific, mowing involved cutting the ditch bank and "connecting the dots" (dots being individual clumps of weeds).

If the agg experts would cross corn and soybeans they would have a drought resistant plant. We have had enough rain in the last 2 weeks that I have to mow grass.

We were real dry until about 3 weeks ago and now we have been receiving rain about 2 maybe 3 times a week.
I wish I could check the ZIPPO box because I really hate mowing grass however I also enjoy eating too.

Mowed mine one, only because the weeds some how managed to survive and were 2 feet tall.

Mowed my lawn grass around mid June, then mowed July 19 mainly because of weeds that were here & there.

I mowed a couple small areas of my yard last week that had some weeds gettin a little too tall. Haven't mowed the rest of it since sometime in May. Might need to finally in the next week or so due to the rain we got this week.

I am going to be mowing today. I mowed once early in the year, again in mid June because the weeds were 12" tall (what grass?) and now because we'be gotten some rain in the past 2 weeks. The grass is probably tall enough to be hit by the mower blades, but the weeds are 12"-18" tall.

Hope I can find my mower under all the dust it has been collecting since May. Haven't needed it since. I bet I've only mowed 4 times this entire season.

Might need to finally in the next week or so due to the rain we got this week. Same here, I've mowed the "public view" parts twice, and now need to do the rest before a bush hog will be needed. Just too danged hot out, even with a rider.

I haven't mowed since mid June. My house is built on an old cow pasture that is very fertile and holds moisture well. But it has gotten so bad the weeds in my yard have started to wilt. I have small green patches around the trees that I've been watering that almost need mowed, but my gravel driveway still has green weeds growing. We needed rain BAD, and we got some this morning ... and we have been without power since then :-(

Surprisingly I have had to mow my yard 4 or 5 times in the last month or so. I sprayed broad leaf killer on my front yard right around when the drought started. I have a big sycamore in my front yard that keeps shade most of the day. I think my yard looks better now than it ever has. back yard is a whole different story though. . .

Last Monday was the second time I've mowed since the first week of May. Neither time was actually mowing grass, though. Both were to simply knock the weeds back down to an acceptable height.

Mowed once after the dry spell started and it finally needs it again. Zoysia grass in the back yard has seeded out again and needs to be knocked down. All the rest of my "grass" in the yard is about gone.
