I'm looking for a new every day carry knife and would like some suggestions.
I want a pocket clip knife, prefer serrated blade, and American made. I really don't want to spend a lot of money either. I'm trying to stay under $60.00
I'm willing to try and find a used knife on ebay to save money to get a better knife. I would consider a foreign made knife, but really don't want a cheap China knife etc.
Anyway, what suggestions do you have?

I bought a Gerber that I really like but it isn't serrated. Not sure where it is made but I thought they were all USA made.

I found a benchmade mini griptillain in 2008 while snowboarding. I have been carrying it for 4 years and it has been perfect. Although mine was free, knowing the quality now, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. It's roughly 3.5 inches folded, very nice and compact. No blade wobble at all. Perfect knife for me and I torture it. I've cleaned pheasant, squirrels, rabbits, and more with it and it's fine. I've drug it though mud on biking trips, it's been in water, and snow. Even sand this week while shark fishing an it's still perfect. CANNOT say enough about this knife

I've been carrying a Kershaw Ken Onion 1660 Leek for a while now. Keeps it's edge pretty well and I like the way it opens.
Personally I prefer a smooth blade, I can't seem to sharpen a serrated one.

Before my Gerber was a Kershaw lock-blade that I loved, picked it up at the covered bridge festival for $5 and it was new in the box. It was very thin and well built too, was a sad day when I lost that one. I also prefer a smooth blade but to each their own. My favorite fixed blade is a gerber that I bought years ago for $15 on clearance sale. It is flat tough and fits my hand like a well oiled glove.

I carry an old 3 blade German made Boker Tree brand. It is at least 40 years old. It's no longer pretty to look at, but it will hold an edge

Another vote for Gerber. Great knives with a huge selection to choose from.

I carry one of the folding Bear Grylls Gerber knives and I love it. Love the material the handle is made from.

Hard to beat a swiss army knife. Mine has two blades, leather punch, phillips screw driver, std screw driver, bottle opener, can opener, tooth pick and a small tweezer.
Use it every day, feel lost without it, blades sharpen up real nice too. Have dressed and skinned a number of deer with the little 2.5" and 3.5" blades, no problem.
Also, I think the serrated blades some are recommending stink. Those are for guys that don't use a knife much or don't sharpen their knives.

I have carried a Case Trapper 2 blade folding for many many years. Holds an edge very well, easy to sharpen, and can be used for anything from whittlin', gutting and skinning deer, to electrical work. It gets a workout every deer season.

I'm a Swiss Army knifer myself, but when it comes to one with a clip there are only two options... www.victorinox.com/us/product/Swiss-Army-Knives/Category/Outdoor/Sentinel-Clip/54885www.victorinox.com/us/product/Swiss-Army-Knives/Category/Outdoor/One-Hand-Sentinel-Clip/54886
