Alright, I've emailed IN.gov and been directed to speak to my local CO and I am...however the one thing that worried me is in the email response it sounded very person to person and no set depth or width of dirt removal needed to be okay'd to hunt.
In your opinion, in your area what would you okay as far as properly removing or taking enough steps in removing a mineral lick? Digging 2 feet down throughout the affected soil and replacing with new? Would doing this and then covering with logs to make it impossible for deer to even "attempt" an attempt at it make it okay? Just seeking clarity on this otherwise "muddy" issue in IN?
I don't want to consider starting a mineral lick anywhere near where I hunt due to no set way to properly remove it outlined by the state...
