This sounds like a slick little round. I used to have a .22 K Hornet and regret selling it. This round appeals to me. In my Hornet I had a hot jacketed load and a slow cast bullet load that shot to the same POI. I was able to use the cast bullets on squirrel with plenty of accuracy for head shots and just switch ammo for groundhogs. It would be fun to do the same in the .17. www.hornady.com/store/Superformance-Varmint-NewAmmo/

Nice. Any factory guns chambered in it that you know of?

Savage, but it is an UGLY model www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/25WV/A search using the page produced no results. They have a laminate and thumbhole laminate model too. I would like to see it in left handed but I have used so many right handed guns all my life it really doesn't matter. I wonder if an action like the Browning T-bolt would be strong enough for this round?
