Fellas, I've never hunted turkeys before , and this may just be the year, but I cannot seem to find any 2012 turkey regs... now the IDNR site lists 2011-2012 pdf download, but it makes no mention what so ever regarding the 2012 spring season.....Fellas I'm 52 and really miss those hunting and trapping regs books they use to publish, it was easy to access and carry, and I'm kinda wondering since the lack of an updated site, and now lack of reg books too.... are they doing this in hopes of collecting more fines? from those who will find it difficult to remain informed on the reg changes?.............Boo to the DNR for tossing the books, and you ,in my opinion .have done a dis-service to us all and hunting within Indiana in general.

The times are a changin'. The USPS is in the red because nobody hardly ever uses snail mail. Newspapers are going down the tubes fast because everything is on line. Just sayin'.

I am about your age and would just assume the DNR would use the money to acquire property as apposed to printing reg books. That being said, if I am in wally world and the have the hunting guides on the counter, I will pick one up. I am not sure how much the DNR spends on publications. Likely the Bass Proshop ad on the inside cover picked up a good chunk of the cost.

Why not just print out the PDF file if you want something to carry with you?

All I could find was last years on the website. You would think that would be a priority with season a month away but instead they have links to goose permits and proposed waterfowl zones at the top of the page. www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/files/fw-turkeyhuntguide.pdf

The dates are correct on the calendar on the website but the turkey specific pdf has the 2011 dates in it.

Timex, I don't necessarily need one to carry around, although it would be nice, but is it too much to ask for some up to date regs?? and online only?? come on now... How many people do you personally know that are not computer literate?? what about them?
