Yesterday eve about 6PM I pulled a 1 lb package of backstraps out of the deep freezer, set them on the counter and then forgot them until 7AM today. There were room temp. I've never done that before, always let them sit a hour or so then in the refrigeration to finish thawing.
Was planning to cook them Sunday eve for dinner. So, do you think they are still good or should I toss them?

Put those delicious backstrap in the frig and cook them tomorrow! Took quite a while to thaw from a deep freezer. Only been out 12 hours. No way they ruined.

I always take mine out before I leave for work and then cook them later that night, which is about 14 hours or so, and they are just fine. Cook away.

Smell like venison. Cooked them a couple of hours ago and so far I'm fat and happy!
