Has anyone seen any pics floating around of the buck that was taken in Morgantown that will supposedly surpass our current typical record? Sure would like to see a picture of it!

I saw a picture last night hanging in Blackhawk over by Bloomington. He's a hog. His main beams curve down and it's rumored that he green scores around 227".

All that I have heard is unsubstantiated rumours.. ..... it's rumored that he green scores around 227". Then he has grown some. The original rumour said 220 and then he shrank to 210. Now he is back up to 227. I don't know about this buck but EVERY year there is rumours all over the net about a "new world record". Except for the Hanson buck they have all turned out to be very nice bucks, but no "new world record". It's best to let it play out before jumping on the rumour bandwagon..

the rumors are true. pictures will come in time. WOODY is right, this thing has grown and shrank about a dozen times. JB has talked the person that got it.......
FUnny how this internet stuff works isn't it? 200, 210, 217, 220, back to 200...... shot @ 30 yards then it's 150 yards.lolol
Its a big boy no matter what... we will know the 411 soon.

the rumors are true. .... Which "rumors are true"? The "200, 210, 217, 220, back to 200...... AND ...shot @ 30 yards then it's 150 yards."?? Then there is one out of Posey county that is "rumored" (again) to go 206. Not sure about that one though..that may be a non-typical..

Go to the outdoorsman pictures are on the counter. The clerk said it green scored 220. I don't know never measured a deer but it is a nice one no doubt.
I have seen a lot of these threads and so far nobody is saying nice job, good shot or anything even close it has all been no way it scored that much. Who cares it is a nice deer anyone would be glad to see in the woods let alone harvest. Maybe it is because there are no pictures on the net (which I don't blame him for not posting them).

I'm no deer scorer, but, might they look at that rack as a double or single drop tine? Awesome animal in any case. Waiting on the rest of the story.................Hoosier.

I'm pretty sure it won't be considered "drop tines"............. that is the MAIN BEAMS!! Drop tines come off of the main beams!
AWESOME BUCK! Congrats to the fella! He's got himself one heck of a deer there!

I had also read some of the "rumor" and all the secretive stuff. So on our way home from deer huntuing today we decided to stop by the Outdoorsman.
The pictures are on the counter for display.
Here is what the fella at the Outdoorsman said.
The fella in the pic is NOT the hunter, it's his dad. His son was not available to get the deer checked in, so the dad took it in for him. They (dad & son) had NO IDEA what they had, and was only concerned about the weight (#225 dressed).
He said after they explained about the antlers, the dad didnt know what to say.
Green score is reported to be 220 or so....
It's 15 points
Killed in Morgantown, Indiana
Unmanaged farmland
"Casual" is the best way to describe the hunter that took the deer
5 other people hunt the same farm and NO ONE had ever seen this deer or any sign they thought may have came from it.
ESPN, Bass Pro and North American Whitetail have all contacted The Outdoorsman. The name on the picture at the Outdoorsman is " B. Freguson"

doesnt a deer have to be checked by the person that harvested? As Indianagooseman said - No. Not anymore. They changed that. It also doesn't have to be checked in for 48 hours..
