Nice Harvest of Cottontails! I sure wish I could find a few to hunt where I am. Use to hunt them alot when I was in High School, back in the '60's. There seemed to be lots of rabbits around then. Ever since the terrible winters of '77 & '78; I've seen very few Cottontails.

actually...all of these came from a public FWA we went to for the very first time.
There were plenty of them there as well as many, many, many tracks, active holes and droppings everywhere we went.
Kankakee FWA - - there is a really well stocked pair of ditches right behind and a little to the East of the main office - - a really big field with the hedgerows of pines and brush/grass between like you see at all of the FWA properties.
Well....on second thought...they may not be so well stocked now...
The little tri-color has shown herself to be quite the quail hound as well now. Hope she starts doing better on the pheasant soon, would like to get her out bird hunting.
