Not sure where to place this thread so I put it here.....though I suppose deer might've worked too since season is over til fall. Some of the man caves are really neat and inspiring, but some of us women have our own too. It looks like I'll have time to work on mine this week. (After I cry about filing taxes, dang supporting this government is a pain.)
Wanted to share my quilt wall hanging project I started this weekend, mostly to use the kid's torn and outgrown camo items. Here are a couple blocks that I have done.
Any other ladies do winter projects when it gets somewhat difficult to go outside or have a woman cave?Attachments:

My wife loves to sew and just finished a project for our 3 month old grandson. It's some kind of cover to put in shopping carts to keep your precious cargo off of the grime and germs found on most carts. She said she could have purchased one ready made, and cheaper, but it's just not the same. She added several "special features" that you wouldn't get in a store-bought piece.
btw, she loved to sew in high school, too. Needless to say, I ended up wearing several "matching" outfits. lol

And what a great sport to wear matching outfits lol!

My in-laws have been gone for a long time but they were big into quilting - they had good sized machine and everything. Post up pic's of your quilt when you finish it.

My wife loves to sew quilts. She sews a couple each year and then gives them away as a CHRISTmas present. She sews them totally by hand. No sewing maching whatsoever. They are beautiful. She sewed the landowner/friend of mine there in Indiana one quite a few years ago and he still displays on his bed. It was her way of saying "thanks" for letting me hunt and harvest deer on his land.

Progress so far. I am thinking that I am going to go ahead and try to find a cross stitch pattern for the center block so that'll take me longer to finish it completely, but then I am doing by hand so does take longer to begin with. Thanks for all the great comments guys! Attachments:

Looks real nice!!! Can you make a couple of those camo bits to be held on with velcro and sew a nice 10 pointer in behind it??
