Went out behind my home, yesterday afternoon and got two Fox Squirrels with my .22 rifle. Got them from my Ladder Stand. I seem to see more, hunting from a tree stand, in late season, than I do sitting on the ground against a tree.

Been out with my 39a a few times, and only got 2. Everytime I go, they are running. I went out Mon. with my sons little H&R 20 ga., and got 2- running on the ground, thru the briars, like rabbits. Now I much prefer to hunt with my Marlin, but if thats how they're gonna act, the 20 ga. ain't done, yet.

I will probably sneak out this weekend with either a marlin 60 or a scoped 25n. Both are .22s... I have had a strong interest in the .17hmr for several years, but I haven't taken the plunge yet.

Well planning on going out this weekend again. Just me and my son this time around. You know that boy has as much fun walking around the woods ... that is amazing a teenage boy. We have a good ol time together. Guess it's OK to hang with Dad if you are hunting.

Don't know if these count, but I got 2 more on Monday morning.
We went rabbit hunting with one of my beagles and a couple of squirrels went running ahead of the dog so we got them with the 28ga. when they went up a tree.
