That is quite a first season trophy buck! Actually, quite a trophy even if you have been hunting for fifty years. I suspect you will contract the services of an excellent taxidermist. Congratulations!!

Congratulations on you deer but I have to ask why you were always against hunting and what was it that changed your mind and decide to take a walk on the wild side.

A true trophy, even for the experienced hunter! I too am curious to know why you were against hunting, but I am certainly glad to hear you changed your mind! Congrats!

Thanks to everyone and heres how it started. I always thought were too pretty to shoot and where I live for 11 years I have fed them and just couldnt allow my "babies" being killed. What changed my mind? Last year my new boyfriend's hunting buddy wasnt gonna go and he would be gone for 2 weeks I really didnt wanting him gone hunting alone I was just worried so told him he could hunt on my property but I didnt want to see any part of it. Boom. The waiting time was over to track him and all 3 of my kids was so excited and wanted to help, well I wasnt gonna let my daughter go out there alone so I tagged alone and really had fun just tracking, and next thing I knew I was going to the blind morning and evening with him and learning all he could teach me, I never ever thought I could shoot 1. He put a gun in my hand to target practice and I really loved shooting, and when shotgun season opened this year he said it was on me cause he couldnt make it home to hunt, well I went out and set, didnt see anything for ever it seemed, my 1st one I got was a small button buck that checked in as a doe, but the feeling was just awesome and then Thanksgiving day here come "Bucky" as I called him I was so anxious I couldnt tell how big he really was until me and my boy walked up on him where he dropped in the same spot I had shot him Im so ready for Nov 2012.
