Initially started this past Saturday morning on a pheasant hunt with some colleagues and friends in the marshes of LaGrange county. Ended up flushing 7 birds, unfortunately 6 were hens and the lone rooster got out unscathed! Regardless, it was still great/exciting to kick up some wild birds! On the way home, I decided to take two quick passes through a small ditch and briar patch through my father in laws property. Not two steps in to the briars, kicked out this guy. He'll be tasty in the crock pot! On the way back to the truck. Saw an antler sticking out of the tall grasses and found this skull. Not sure what caused his demise, but fun to find none the less. Just goes to show if you have fifteen minutes to kill....why not hunt! ;D Sorry for the terrible photo quality....

Pretty cool. I haven't been out chasing bunnies yet, but I'm ready if the weather ever cools off.

As soon as this deer season ends I'm getting my 4 beagles out in the woods and make the earn their keep. h.h.
