I picked up a CVA Scout 44 mag several months back, accuracy was lacking so I sent it back on Oct. 10. Well, last night UPS came calling, and when I opened the box I found that they had sent me a new rifle!
So, I'm heading over to Wilbur Wright to see if this one shoots straight.
I have my 357 maxi to hunt with, but it's good to have more choices!

Well, how did your new rifle shoot?

During my range session I shot about 40 rounds of jacketed through it. At first I was concerned, but toward the end group started tightening up to around 1 1/2" at 50 yards.
I hunted with my maxi on opening day, but I took my Scout and set up an improvised target after my hunt, shooting off the back of my truck. Shot several 265 gr. cast "Ranch Dog" bullets, and at 50 yards they were almost touching.
I think that with some load work it'll be a shooter. But it'll likely be next year before i get to hunt with it.
By the way, what are you doing up at 1:04 AM? That's too early to be on stand.
