Fog didn't matter for us. The owl hoots and coyote howls got at least 10 birds fired up early on the roost. We then realized due to the yelps were hearing that we had birds within 50 yards so we used the time and fog to get out and leave them alone till it is time

In my area (Brown county) thursday when I scouted they were still flocked together. Sunday when I went the toms had split up from the hens. I saw several lone Toms. I knew somthing was up when I went in because i've been scouting for a while now and the birds werent in the spots they had been in the whole time. They gobble like mad while they are on the roost but as soon as they hit the ground they shut up. Still not desperate enough yet for love to sound off like crazy. I did however pull a no no and could no longer resist the urge and called gobblezilla right up a ridge to me. Then almost hit a hen with the truck on the way out

Heard them in Franklin Co. this morning, not as much as you would think given the nice morning. Good to be back in the woods though and listening to gobbles.

I just got back from listening this AM and heard 4-5 birds. Four of them were in the same area and one off in the distance. With cloudy sky's and rain not far away I was surprised to hear that many. h.h.
