I am looking for a reasonable price O/U 20 gauge. I probably looking in the 500-600 $ range. I have Stoeger 12 ga O/U and had great luck with it.
I will be mainly hunting upland game and some sporting clays.
I seen a Stevens 512 Gold Wing 20 Gauge w/26" Barrel Over/Under Shotgun while searching online. anyone got any experenice with them?
Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated with any O/U.
Thanks again

Well i looked on internet and see some reviews on the stevens and no one had anything good to say about it. I am now looking at a CZ O/U seen some good reviews on it. I may jsut go ahead and spurg on the Browning or Beretta but hate to spend that kind of money right now, but it may be worth it in the long run.

While it's not what you are looking for, I have a Browning Citori that I bought new in 1997. It's got right around 120,000 shells thru it now and it still is tight. ( I used to shoot over a ton of shot a year between skeet, trap, sporting clays, etc.)
I took it to the Grand American Trapshoot this year to have Browning's techs give it a looking over. They said that they charge (IIRC) $70 to give it an annual cleaning. They said come back in 45 minutes. I did, and they said "we replaced the firing pins, firing pin springs, eject springs, blah, blah, blah." I think it was 7 or 8 things they did all in all.
Oh crap, I'm thinking, this will set me back at least $250, maybe more. I thanked them for doing the work and asked how much I owed. They said that everything totaled $70.
Sometimes it's not just the purchase price of the gun that you're looking at when you buy one.........

If you like your Stoeger 12, why not go with one in 20? The fit would likely be similar.
I love the looks of the O/U shotguns, had a Win. Supreme, but could never get accustomed to it. I guess that I'm a Rem. 870 kinda guy.

Scout:
I am like parsons and am partial to Brownings. The 6 I own have never let me down. Having said that, I also have a few other O/U toys I like to play with. Keep in mind that just like vehicles, sometimes can get good one or bad one.
I have a cz and love it, though mine is in 28 ga. Another one you might think about that should be in your price range is Mossberg's Silver Reserve O/U. It should be pretty close to your price range. I have shot several thousand rounds through one and other than being a bit stiff when new (most O/Us can be), it has held up well. Nice thing about it is that it uses beretta mobile chokes which can be found at most sporting goods/gun store. Also a good bit cheaper than browning chokes in flush mount tubes or in extended tubes.
Good luck!

I'm like several others on here you definitely won't go wrong with a Browning. I also have a Winchester 101 that shoots really well for me. A fellow I shoot with all the time shoots a Stevens and he loves it. He has probably put 4 to 5 thousand rounds through it on the skeet and sporting clay course with no problems. With places like Numrich and Brownells you should be able to find any part you will ever need for whatever brand you buy. So just find something that fits you and swings good and have fun. I dunno how far you are from the Indiana Gun Club but if your shopping for a shotgun that's the place to go. You might be surprised what you can find in your price range.
