What load combo are you using?
Looks like you've got a good start there. ;D

130gr Sierra and H335. I like the scope just fine - I have another one with the firefly which I don't care for.

I was shooting my 7 TCU 10" Contender barrel Monday, guy showed up the range that was kind enough to let me run 5 over his chrono- average for the 5 was around 1740. That was with 28.0 gr of IMR 4895 and a 130 gr soft point of an unknown maker. I don't honestly believe I can get much more powder in the case even though the book max is 29.2 and 29.4 gr depending on which book you look at! If I'm going to use this for hunting I'm going to want every bit of speed I can get out of it...

I haven't yet had the chronograph out yet but that sounds reasonable. Fortunately I can't get long shots on my place or I don't think I would take it. Oh, barrel is 15"

I think the book difference between a 10" and 14" barrel was nearly 200 fps, so I would not be surprised at all if you can obtain velocities over 2000 fps with yours. Especially considering your chamber is probably tighter than mine and the throat is likely a lot shorter too!
I really need to get a chronograph. I don't think I really want to hunt with mine until I get loads run over a chrony to make sure they are fast enough for whatever bullet I'm using. I need to order some 120 gr V-max's and try those and probably try to find a faster powder too. Not sure, but I think the OAL on my loads may have been on the short side for what my chamber can handle so I can likely gain a bit of powder room by seating the bullets out a bit more.

Finally put some glass on my .243 win Pro Hunter barrel. It is the 2x Weaver and I will be shooting 95grain Nosler Partitions sitting on Varget. Time to get it dialed in.

I like the .243 Win and it was the barrel that came on my Striker. I shot some great groups with the .243 but never got to kill a deer with it. I switched barrels to the .260 Rem which is the .243's bigger brother. Sweet looking gun. h.h.
