Did anyone do any good in the Fish and Wildlife area in Randolph Co. that opened this year?

I am from that area originally, but did not go back to hunt it. I think they opened it too soon, wasn't it 4-5 years ago they released the turkeys there? I am interested to know too. Did you have any luck?

I got a double bearded 22 lb. 25 mm. spur tom on Sunday @ 7:30 am. I am going to try to get pics up soon. Really nice bird. Down around Brookville.
I am from Portland where are you from originally?

I am from the mighty town of Farmland. My mom still lives there. It would be nice to know if the Mississenewa F&WA was any good to turkey hunt. I could visit and get some time in the blind in. I used to be able to hunt across the gravel road from the F&WA in deer season. It was always a freakin' war zone opening day. Was not uncommon to hear over 100 shots in a day.

I checked the sign in boxes one weekend on the way back home from down south and there were only about 5 people signed in on a Sunday. I saw 5 vehicles at one of the parking places and none on the other on the side that you said you could deer hunt.
I have never scouted it but I have heard of plenty of turkey sightings before season started. I may spend a morning there next March and see if I can hear anything. I'll let you know, but that's going to be awhile.
