just read this on cabelas.com
Does not work Date: September 4, 2010 I just installed this product on my Wicked Ridge crossbow. It made little or no difference at all. The price is excessive when you compare what you get(a hand full of rubber), what you paid (almost $45.00), and an end result that will leave you feeling I was taken. A final thought, maybe the Wicked Ridge Invader just cannot be tamed. Any way, I will be returning this product.

I've got them on both of my bows. They do help but NOTHING will ever get a crossbow to be as quiet as a compound. That crossbow going off is the last noise that deer will ever hear...uinless it is the hunter hollering - "YAHHOOOO!"

I hold the view that if the deer can hear it you're probably too far away, stealth and success both begin with the same letter.

I feel the bowjaxs I put on my Invader helped, I also installed a set of Cat Whiskers on the string and put a stick on type limb saver on the hood of my quiver to dampen vibration .

I filled the hollow stock of mine with expanding foam, and made overtravel stops out of aluminum and Limbsaver noise reduction buttons. Both helped, but filling the stock helped the most.

I took black electrical tape and taped the metal foot stirrup on my Vision 175 and put Horton's LIMB TUNERZ on the limbs, one on each side of the foot stirrup and connected 3 together and put them around the top of my quiver. When I shoot this bow the only noise you hear is a very quiet "tink" when the bolt leaves the string... the only noise you really notice is when the bolt hits the target... there are videos on youtube of guys shooting other reverse string xbows and you can see how quiet these things really are...

I've heard that the best way to quiet a crossbow is to wear earmuffs! With the speed of these things and a reasonable distance to the target a deer will have a hard time dropping fast enough to duck the bolt. Good luck to all, BOB
