Wow, that's a great price, Woody. Makes me wish the CM's were out before I bought my CW.

Wow, that's a great price, Woody. Makes me wish the CM's were out before I bought my CW. Good price, but it is back ordered. Not sure when I'll get it.. Handling the Kahr CW9 versus the Kel-Tec PF9 I just had to got with the Kahr. The dealer at the gun show had the CW9 for $410 and no tax.. Then I heard about the CM9 and I decided to go to it. I think it will be worth the wait..

I think so too. The CM series is an upgraded CW in a PM sized package. I don't personally think you can go wrong with any of the 3, but if the CM stays that cheap, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't sell too many CW's in the coming years. I've heard rave reviews of the PM series pistols, and I like my CW as well.
One added benefit to the CM and CW is they don't have the polygonal rifling. I don't think you reload, but polygonal rifling like the PM series has is not suitable for cast bullets- jacketed only.
Be sure to post some pics when you get it, along with a range report. ;D

I have a Kahr K9 Woody. Love it. I don't know if there is a wear in period with the CW9, but mine was something like 200 rounds before they recommended carry.

9mm is cheaper and easier to find than .380, that's for sure.
You will need to give it the required 200 round break-in. Get as many different brands of ammo as you can for the break-in. If it's going to have a hiccup, it will do it during the initial 200 rounds. Just make sure the last round you insert into the mag is seated into the mag all the way- the only hiccups I have had with my CW was due to that bit of inattention on my part.

For just general plinking at the range, I've been buying Federal FMJ ammo from Walmart. IIRC it's $10-12 per box of 50. Haven't had the first issue with it.

I had a PF9 for awhile earlier this year. Never had a problem with it, just decided I didn't like it. Kind of hard on the hand after a few mags. Ever looked at the Walther PK380? Not a 9mm, but very accurate, and a well thought out ergonomic grip. I can pop tin cans with mine at 25+ feet all day. Something I could never do with my PF9.

I had a PF9 and shot 2 magazines through it and took it back to the gun shop where I bought it (Acme) in Seymour, In great gun shop....I did not like the recoil of the gun, it would try to jump out of my hand, so I traded it in on a Glock 19 and love that gun, that makes my 3rd Glock i currently have.
