You must be in the Joe Bacon Fan Club. One of those who only support the ISN'T if he gets it his way.

No surprise there.. Talks out of both sides of his mouth at the same time. I got the "mass email" that he talks about. It wasn't "4 hours". More like 4 days. And it was DIRECTED TO INDIANA CROSSBOW HUNTERS ONLY.Hypocrite.

Funny stuff....but a couple of points made -- on the first proposals - "over 3500 comments 8 to 1 against" and some insider help from the DNR? "we were told if we didn't like th crossbow we had better match those results"
Anbd then about Mr. Woody -- "The best I have heard is the resident crossbow advocate who stated he has a disabled permit and uses a crossbow, he wants it in all seasons so he is not identified as disabled. He goes on to say it is not any harder to use than a compound. Well if that is true we have no reason for the crossbow to be used , just let em use a compound......."
Apparently, he's also against handicapped folks using a crossbow as well -"just let em use a compound"

I don't remember Joe raising a stink when at a NRC meeting, when a Marlin rep was in the audience.

Lug, you fishing again?
At least my special interest group (if you can call an internet chatsite) a group doesn't support anti-hunting as two so called "stakeholder" groups do......same as PETA and HSUS to me.
Anytime you want to take away hunter opportunity for self gains its very simply "anti-hunting"! PETA and HSUS want exactly the same thing, no or less hunting so animals can survive. Matter of fact Im surprise a certain leader hasn't enlisted their help to derail this second proposal, same guy stated he was going to enlist them to help keep the OBR........ h.h.

..And then about Mr. Woody -- "The best I have heard is the resident crossbow advocate who stated he has a disabled permit and uses a crossbow, he wants it in all seasons so he is not identified as disabled. Joe, and I know you read here. Let me re-emphasize one more time as it must not have soaked in with you the last 4 or 5 times. I am NOT ashamed to be physically unable to pull back a hunting weight bow. No one should, but there are some folks out there that do not want the perceived undue stigma of "handicapped" thrown at them. They just quit hunting first. But, I am not one of them. Quitting is not an option for me. Maybe for you, but not for me
Quite a few folks in here have seen me in person and see what I drive. On that truck is a "handicapped plate". It is on there for my wife that has MS and can not walk very well. If I was ashamed of any physical impairments I would not have that plate, but one of thsie handicapped cards you hang from the rear view mirror.
No, you are barking up the wrong tree, but that has never stopped you in the past, has it?He goes on to say it is not any harder to use than a compound. Well if that is true we have no reason for the crossbow to be used , just let em use a compound......." Well, It is not "any harder", is it? Not a whole lot easier either
But I do see that you are going back on your word to never involve the legislature in game management. sad....

I swear he IS a member of PETA, as fanatical as he is at trying to take away hunter opportunity! What are all of these guys that side with him going to do when he decides he doesn't like something about the way they hunt, or want to hunt, and he goes on a propaganda spree against them? This guy must lead a pitiful existence. All liars do.

They both use the same tactics to try and achieve what they want, all based on lies to the general public for gaining support. Taking hunting opportunity away from hunters is just as bad as outlawing it IMHO.

Granted all our thoughts and wishes aren't the same, but in the "big" picture we are all part of a "special intrest group" of some sort. I have a hard time pointing fingers at the ones that raise enough cain to actually get something done in their favor. JB uses his resources, to get what he thinks is right, and we all would do the same if we had the same resources. I'm by no means taking up for JB, put if i were him, i'd be fighting tooth n nail for what i think is right as well. We all have one thing in common, this "sport" means alot to each of us, or else we be doing something else besides BS's about these issues in Feb. Just my .02

Just my .02 There is a BIG difference between wanting/desiring something THAT DOES NOT EFFECT OTHERS, ie x-bows. It's another to want/desire something AT THE EXPENSE of others, ie shorting gun/muzzleloader seasons. Joe Bacon is like a child. All he knows is he "wants". And his 'wants" are always at the expense of others. I have yet to see a single post of his ANYWHERE where he is not confrontational. He thrives on that kind of crap.
