Here is a quick follow up to my other poll. There are several people that kill more then one, and it frustrates me too death, not being ethical and following the rules....however, other states are allowing for more liberal bag limits, etc.....so lets see what everyone thinks...

Most states that have a 2 bird limit allow only one bird per day and that would be my vote. h.h.

Well, if we were to allow two birds, why would we wish to impose restrictions on HOW or WHEN they are taken? I would rather let a guy take two at the same time, and be done myself. In the first place, I am not exactly 'FOR' taking two birds anyway, at least not in my hunting area, but am not overly against it either. That is simply because I do not see enough Turkey in my hunting area's to justify it, and I am also well aware other area's have much more game, and would be just fine with a TTR(Two Turkey Rule).

I'd say open the season on Saturday before the Wednesday that it opens now. Have an extra four days, but half those days most people would be working anyway. Be able to fill a tag the first week, one the second week or both the third week. I can't figure out why the state has not changed the season or bag limit on turkeys. It was all set when there were less than half the turkeys that we have now, but it hasn't been updated. Heck, I sat in my mom and dad's driveway yesterday morning after work and heard about 20 birds and this area has only been open to hunting for about the last 15 years or so.

We can kill 2 birds...spring and fall !
Missouri has a 2 bird Spring limit. One bird the first week then both any time after that. Not sure of the reasoning, but it makes it a little inconvinent for non residents to go early in the season and stay until both tags are filled.

I kinda like the way Missouri does it. If a guy gets his bird early, it makes for less competition in the woods, so those who haven't harvested one yet have a better chance.
