After a lackluster trip to FL for Osceola's, I'm heading to Texas on Friday, for the 2nd most beautiful turkey the Rio. These Rio Grande turkeys are famous for providing hunters with an exciting time full of gobbling upon gobbling. I will be hunting about 1.5 hours west and north of Dallas at a private ranch. It is a 2 bird hunt, and looking forward to making 2 jelly heads this weekend!
Travis, Art and Kyle who should be our other team-mate, I think we should choose someone so we don't get stuck with a deadbeat!

I'm a very fine deadbeat! ;D ;DI do have two kids at home though and believe me... I pay for them.

Rios are great. I've taken a few in Kansas the last couple of years and really look forward to hunting them. Good luck on your trip. hw

Which outfitters do you guys use? I'm not using an outfitter, but the guy I use allows us to be his guests at his leases for the weekend. We pay him a little and we stay there. Not too bad of deal, PM me for me details. I also have a GREAT place to go for Merriams!

Good luck in Texas!
Rios are my favorite to hunt. We saw more birds and heard more gobbling with Rios than any others. (Texas & Oklahoma)
