I have only killed one and it was at about 7:30. He was with another Tom and came to my call after 20 minutes of coaxing.

I've killed a couple literally right off the roost. Just happened to set up right under them (blind luck). In both cases, their feet had not been on the ground more than about 5 seconds when I dropped the hammer.
I've killed a couple within the first hour as well after they've assembled after fly down.
But most have been in the 10:00 to noon time frame, after they've had their way with the initial hens and they are looking for some more loving. I like hunting that late morning time slot. Seems a lot of hunters pick up out of the woods at about 9:00 or so.

Get back to ya after this season. . . . with any luck, anyway. My brother has taken them mostly in the 1st hour of hunting, but has taken several around noon.

I've killed two in the morning and one right after noon, the one I killed after noon was really fired up and it just seemed like I found him "in the mood", man was that exciting!

I have killed them from 7:30 am to 5 pm. Last two birds I have killed in the evening in a field.
