Guys, I willing to throw some money into a fund set up to help with expenses for Woody or anyone else that volunteers to represent this site in public meetings or appearances, such as the radio show in the other thread.
Anyone else interested in helping spread the truth?

Heres a thought. WHy not just call in yourself(s) go to the mettings? Why put the whole burden at Woody's feet?........... I'm not bashing anyone here but it's not the first issue I have watched were one or two people do all the work and 100's of others sit back and because they didn't like the end results

I would have to opt to represent myself ..... I have yet to meet anyone, ever, who I would let speak on my behalf.
I would prefer if "this site" not be represented in any way as a whole. Not all members feel the same way about things .... not even close. Taking our poll numbers and things like that would be fine .... but if the idea is to say "I represent a site with "X" number of members and "WE" feel such and such" wouldnt fly ......

Agreed. That is the problem with group's and/or org.'s. (EX. IDHA,IBA,) They usually don't represent everyone. Just the one's who lead the group's who have the final say. Used to be member's of both, but no longer as I did'nt feel my opioion's mattered or were heard. It's nearly impossible to get a group of people to agree on anything. That's kinda why i like this site. Voice your idea and then debate among member's.

I have never said that I represent any of you or the entirety of this site. I have seen the false claims from others that they "represent the Indiana deer hunters" or the "Indiana bowhunters". They don't. All they represent is their own little organization and not all of them. I'll never forget the remark made by an IDHA rep at the NRC AC meeting that he was there to "represent the core group of the active members of the IDHA". One would have to wonder how many that is? I have stated that I am owner and administrator of this site when I gave input. Never that I represent this site. I have also sent results of HI polls along with the url to those polls to numerous DNR and NRC officials. They in turn can take them for what they are worth.

I said help spread the truth....not represent individual members of this site. For example, if this site take a poll, the representative would merely give the results of the poll, what ever that might be. Could be against the particular topic at hand, but it would not be false info that some of the others are dishing out.
I've not seen anyone that has more real, verifyable facts about crossbow than Mr. Woody. If the majority of this site votes to back the xbow proposals, then Woody is the man to carry that message.
The fund could be used to help the cost of fuel and daily eats or other expenses. I've been on the road many times representing several groups in the past and know it takes a lot of time and money to get it done.

Woody can and will speak what he has to say about xbows. The rest of you if you want to be heard need to do the same regardless of where you stand.
I do it every chance I get. I even m*ke a few people chringe when I speak. But that's ok. I speak for myself and I deserve to be heard

Off topic and unless your going to contribute, I'd just soon you keep it to yourself. You know it's one thing to take time to attend public meetings for those who can't or won't, but quite another to only do it so that you can get a pat on the back.
Do we have a trustee to hold the money, if so, PM me an address.

Anyone else interested in helping spread the truth? Not sure everyone on this site shares the same ideologies....Be a good idea for those who do share the same beliefs. Besides Im so sick of this crossbow debate. Sure you were exhausted a few years back in KY? I know I was. Besides, the xbow isnt the answer to herd reduction....ahem management.

Lyman, no disrespect intended, but I seen tons more data in xbows than you have, as Woody has seen tins mire than I have. There's no way that crossbows will cause the deer reduction to happen alone, but it can help. The data is there to show that it will, all you have to do is hunt it up. Two things, one us that not allowing the xbow is a barrier. To be proactive in management, the first step us to remove all prohibiting barriers. Second, its a tweak, which is all that a kit if areas need right now.
