I carry three turkey calls, all friction, a slate, a glass, a 2-sider(cause it'll play laying on the ground) and several strikers.

Really it depends on the situation. If I'm set up where I know theres a bird, in a field or on the roost, I use a friction call first. If I'm set up just hoping to call one to me, or I'm walking around trying to strike up a conversation I'll use my box first. Once I have their attention and have them talkin back, I goto my mouth calls and friction calls at the same time, then loose the friction call as he gets closer. If he hangs up then I goto my Tube call or my Wingbone.

I voted for the friction call initially, but I just got home with the Primos Wet Box I bought tonight and I may have to rethink that. I doused it with water and can't tell any difference in the sound it makes. This is a real good one IMO.

Used 2b a box call, simply for the tradition of the call. But i have 2 dandy glass calls, Kaisers & Power Crystal that sound too good.
