Beware that a veteran can request that their military status be added to their driver's license?

PTSD? Out of the car, any firearms in the car? It's down the road, more info they don't need at the ready.

Beware that a veteran can request that their military status be added to their driver's license? Yeah, I agree there is no good reason for to be on an ID, unless you are wanting to get your discount at Lowes or something. I can just see the cops abusing that info. Vet, eh? Must be nuts and/or have guns in the car....

Then it would be your own fault for requesting it to be added, it is not mandatory.

A few months after 9/11 I was issued a Federal ID that came through the mail, but did not have my picture on it. It was official looking and had all of my information on it including SSN and blood type. I have no idea why I was issued one and never heard from the office that issued it again. I could think of only two reasons that I received it, I was prior military but my inactive reserve duty had already expired, and I was a first responder. No other first responder that I worked with received one nor did anyone that I served with in the military, so it remains a mystery to me still today. I laminated it and keep it next to my tinfoil hat just in case I need it someday! ;D
