Yep..They are to keep..I'm just wanting to get some feedback on the good and the bad to help improve them..Most of the guys that's seen them and heard them like them...

LCB-You are on the right track. I did exactly what you are about to do. Truth is Ya can't always trust the judgement of your friends. Sometimes they are just too nice. I made it clear that I was looking for constructive criticisms and that the calls were a gift for trying them out. I actually sent two calls to each individual, a glass and a slate.
Looks to me as if you are entering the refinement stage of your sound development. Your lathe work looks great. What is your glueing technique? Turned pedestal or blocks? What does the back look like? Questions-questions-questions.
Since I was only interested in field calls I standardized the shape and striker design and material very early. It made some of the later tuning problems easier to handle.
I can send ya 3 or 4 blanks of good Missouri hickory if ya like.
I'm far from an expert but I may be able to help a little here and there.
