Hunt 'em ....there delicious! The breast look like a giant chicken breast.
Shoot a turkey...grab him and some morels on your way out of the woods, and you have a meal fit for a king!

When it's cooked it's more along the lines of "gray" meat. Not really white, but not really dark.
It's still VERY good though. Turkey is the first thing I've ever shot that my wife will eat!! ;D
I actually have a leg and thigh in the fridge right now that I'm going to make turkey noodle soup out of tomorrow night. It makes GREAT stock, even if the meat is a little chewy.

Actually i just finished eating the one i shot last spring yesterday. I used salt and pepper and cooked it in a Crockpot for 12 hours. It is more light gray than white in color. I sliced it and made turkey sandwiches. A couple slices with a little mayo on whole wheat bread made some good eating. h.h.

It's essentially the same as a chicken soup recipe. I'm trying something a little different with this one; it's been brining overnight.
I'll post up the recipe if it turns out OK.

Wild Turkey is very delicious. The way I do it the meat is white. I just cut up into small "Nugget" size bites. Make sure you get all the fat and sinew off. Marinate it Butter Milk for about 24 hrs. Than take a Ziploc bag with some flour, salt, pepper and garlic. Place the nuggets in and shake. Pan fry or deep fry until golden brown. They will melt in your mouth.
