In the thread What would you want buried with you" raporter said "Donate anything about me that is recyclable........." That raised a questions with me for discussion - Are you a body parts donor? Is there a little red heart on your driver's license? My answer is yes. Hopefully my parts will not be all worn out by then.

Definitely. I just imagine what a ray of hope that would be for one or maybe more people who have had a short hand dealt to them.
I just wish I could stipulate that my liver can go to anyone but David Crosby.

Yes, since I got my first driver's license. Please talk with your families about this decision. Even though you have this very important piece of information on your drivers license, a hospital can not harvest any organs or tissue with out your spouses, medical proxy, or next of kin's signing the consent form. I too, am in no hurry to be passing mine along, but I am getting to the point that I need to take better care of them if they are to help others.

Yes, I signed up many years ago to be a donor, but by now at my age most of the parts would most likely be rejected. I do have a prostate I would donate today.
