Had this red color phase hen come up to the back door of the fire station that I work at. It was raining, so it was hard to get good pics. If you will notice the color on her wings(No black bars) and back saddle. When she not so wet, you can really see the red coloration, and stands out.

There are a lot of different color phase turkeys in Harrison County.

I killed 1 of the many I've seen 3 years ago. Mature bird 25 lbs, 11.5" beard and about 1" spurs. No black bars, but rusty wing feathers and an overall rusty color.

You sure that wasn't a turkey buzzard that had gotten it's wings covered in blood from picking and some roadkill? ?

Looks cool, I'd love to get a color phase bird or a double bearded bird just to get something a little different.
