This post is a little late due to problems posting pics and emailing them back and forth. He shot this buck on opening day. It was a brute. This deer had the biggest chest and neck I have ever seen. Even his face was chubby. After field dressing it, it was about all we could do to drag it out. Going by tooth wear, he was 4 1/2 years old. Hopefully he can add the story to the pictures. He was a fighter. Both ears were split and his nose was split and scarred over. Here we are with the finished Euro mounts. His buck makes mine look pretty small. Still a couple of nice S.E. IN bucks.

Big ole beautiful warrior! Congrats to Grey Squirrel! Both are nice bucks.
Maybe its just the angle but in the pic of you two the skull on Grey Squirrels buck looks much larger.

Thanks for posting up the pics scrub-buster. Not much of a story to my buck, with a busy year and not being able to bow hunt alot, I was fortunate to get out opening morning. I had one doe pass under me around 8:00 and he showed up from the other way around 9:20. He was about ready to turn and cross the creek out of my line of fire, but, I made a mouth bleat and he stopped and I let the ol' smokepole do its job. Many, many thanks to my friend scrub-buster for helping me drag him out and also the cool euro mount he done up for me!

His was 4 1/2 and mine was 3 1/2. His is probably a bigger skull. I know his lower jaw bone was 1" shorter than any other buck that I have done this year. It seemed like his head was shorter and more massive.
