Hunters trying to limit other hunters is just like P.E.T.A. to me. Taking away seasons, weapons and days a field equal less hunting and thats the same agenda P.E.T.A. pushes and all this for a set of big antlers. Sad........ h.h. AMEN!!!

Change is certain. What the changes are arn't. Voice your concern's and we will see what happen's. I liked some of the proposed change's, disliked some also. Personally I think Indiana's gun season is to long. With that said how many day's is enough? ?? I don't have the answer. Got my idea's. (10 to 14 day range work's for me.) Also think somewhere down the line crossbow's will have own season or will be extended. Regardless I will hunt as many days as I can and with whatever weapon is legally available.

Go ahead complain to the legislators about how the DNR is making bad decisions. Soon the legislators will be making the game laws, lets see how that works out for us.

I bet 95% of the legislators can care less about our game laws. Their main concern is keeping their elected spot in office. Do you honestly believe that the hunters of this state will allow the slaughter of our states deer just because a FEW legislators think our state has a problem with over populated deer. Prove to me that the legislators will be making our game laws if the DNR fails to make them work.

I'd just as soon take my chance with the legislature as allow hand picked stakeholders to set policy, those that either don't hunt or those that want you to only hunt like they do.

I did like some of the changes, such as lengthening of urban seasons, increase crossbow use in the seasons proposed, etc. I don't agree with taking hunting days from guys, I wouldn't mind having the gun season pushed back a week as I have gun hunted from that time and later all my life and have no problem whackin deer. Anyhow, it will be interesting to see what gets passed and I hope they don't try to slighly slide something through right before season next year.
