I like Harbor Freight and every now and then they have an ad where they flat out give you a freeby just to get you in the store.. A few weeks ago it was a 9 LED mini-flashlight. I got one and thought it was lightweight enough to carry as my walk in and walk out flashlight. Since this was pre-youth hunt I thought I'd buy enough for all the kids. The cashier said that they were $6.99 each after the first free one. Uh, no thanks. The flashlight is an aluminum barrel, positive off/on switch and has 9 white LEDs. On the walk in Friday morning I did not need it until I would cut into the woods after walking down a gravel road. When I switched it on that little sucker lit up the woods. I couldn't believe such a small flash light could put out so much light. I ended up putting my fingers over the light in such a way to just get a little bit of light coming through. This little light will be great for blood trailing deer. If you get a chance pick up one..especially if it is FREE.

I have a pink one hanging on the gear shift of my truck I picked up at the local hardware store for $3. Yes, I said pink. I figured I had less of a chance of one of the guys "forgetting" they borrowed it that way... Almost forgot, the rubber on it glows in the dark, faintly, but glows.

I have 3 of those lights and the quality definitely varies. One is really good and the other two are not. One of them will flicker or go out if you rotate the flashlight in your hand and the other will flicker on when you shake it when the switch is off (found that out on a rough road one night with the flashlight in the cup holder).
For free you can't go wrong even if you decide to pitch it in the trash.
