Hardly IMPORTANT IMHO, they all git er done too, used within their limits.
Offered as only a comparison and to gather an average of what's being used for IN deer hunting for 2010.
God Bless Steve

I shoot 68lbs. On a compound. Its fine for now and does get a little tuff to draw on those cold mornings. I was goin to drop some weight but its shooting so good I dont want to mess anything up this close to season. Good Luck Crappiepro

My wife is just getting started and becoming interested in shooting a bow..(compound). Right now we have lowered the weight so she is comfortable. Is there a legal amount that is required in order to hunt?

Up until last year it was a 57# longbow. Last year it became a 45# recurve. This year it will be a 50# recurve and a 52# longbow.

Both of my compounds are set at 63#. New Matthews Z-7 is punching arrows tipped with 100 grain Muzzies to the fletchings on a new black hole target at 40 yards. Double lunged a dow the other evening like a knife through butter.
