Did anyone else see that Obama supports the building of a muslim mosque at ground zero. Imagine that!

Ya, I about fainted from shock when I read that. (hopefully you can smell the sarcasm in that statement)

Free country and private property does not only apply to caucasians.

I pretty much agreed with what Obama had to say about it. America grants the freedom to believe and worship as you so choose. On the other hand, discretion is the better part of valor. It was my sincere hope that some discretion would be entered on the part of the group wanting to build there.

It's a well-known historical fact that Muslims usually build a mosque at the site of Muslim conquests. I've heard several Muslim scholars sensitive to Arabic - Western relations give testimony to the fact that this is exactly what the idea is behind this mosque. They have the right to build a mosque all right, they just don't have the constitutional right to build one wherever they please.

A Muslim mosque at the 911 crash site has no other reason other than to disrepect The United States of America. It would have been a news story if Obama did not support the mosque.

Agree 100% I cant quite figure out why people "think" of Americans who observe the religion of Islam as any less American than Christians. Im not talking about those nutcase extremists that hate America .... I am talking about red blooded American Muslims. Yes they do exist. It is a two way street though ..... we Americans should have tolerance for those who choose to observe Islam .... and those who choose to observe Islam should be smart enough to know not to build there. Nothing good will come of it. No union will want to build it. If it is actually started and built to completion it will be a site of contest forever.
