Well lets see... Bought a new to me summit stand that I am awaiting molle ii straps and waist belt to arrive so I can get them on it and ready.
Waiting on some ameristep strap on steps to arrive so I can make a platform assembly for my tree saddle.
A late start this year but got the trail cams out this past w-end.
been trying to wear out my new bow practicing nearly every day since spring.
Did some door knocking and got some new to me UDZ property to scout and hunt.
Been driving around rural areas during the evenings close to home looking for good deer activity and potential land owners to ask permission to hunt on.
Other than that, not much I reckon. ;D

practicing, practicing and more practicing.... started coming up with a game plan for the first couple days of bow.. It would be nice to get some rain. Looks like the crops are all starting to be taken out and that means that the deer should be in the woods...
Good luck to all....

I recently set up a new ladder stand, I have cut several new trails, and I have been shooting pistols and the bow frequently. I need to get another stand hung, position a climber, and shoot the muzzleloader still because I switched to a Hornday FTX this year. I also need to still scout a new farm that I got permission to hunt. So little time...

Can't get myself in the mood. My bow is still in the case and hasn't been out since last year. I haven't made one step in the woods, trail cams are in the barn and haven't bought anything and didn't even sign up for the H-I contest.

I did get the saw out and cut trails. I've done just a little scouting & it looks like it's pretty much same old same old; except there is a heavily used trail right next to where we had to have our new septic field put in. My daughter saw a fawn on it after the work was done so maybe it's still active. I probably ought to get a camera on it and see if it is a possible location. I'm going to plant it for a small food plot - I need to get on it fast or wait for spring.

I am going to the gym. Doing 40 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength about 3 times a week. 15 or so minutes of the 40, I have been doing the treadmill type stair climber to get my legs in shape for the hills.
I walk A LOT during deer season.
I drag deer a lot. I am too old to not get in shape first.

Shot the practice course at the club tonight - Finally I was pretty well keeping it in the 10 ring even out to 35 yds. Now if I can just keep it together in October!
