I'm 13 miles or 20 minutes from my place. I don't hunt any place else, tags are too expensive!!

87 miles one way. Businesses are really going to suffer a hit with the loss of gun hunting days and the corresponding loss of human traffic through their area.

Just curious, why would the proposed changes change where you hunt or how far from your house. My favorite spot is about an hour and a half away from home but the only variables I have is #1 Can my old truck make it there without stranding me on the side of the road #2 Gas prices. Drive down to hunt, go back home for T-Day [lose a hunt day] drive back down, hunt for rest of time. Simple $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Why would this be different than any other year?

You have to be kidding there FNG, this year I will go down on the 11th, help haul wood in, split and stack for the guys house I stay in. I will leave on the 21st because Turkey Day is not during that time period and my truck only gets moved to check in and deliver a deer. Maybe once to go about 5 miles up the road to a restaurant for a fried chicken special. Other than that, truck stays parked. OK, I explained that for you, it is up to you to understand it.

I can walk out my back door and be hunting one of two farms -- one 300 acres, the other at least 100. I can also drive 1/2 mile to a 250-acre property across the valley that I can see from my front porch, or I can drive 1/4 mile down the road the other direction to a 650-acre tract.
The farthest I would have to drive is 15 minutes to three parcels of land totalling 200 acres, which seems to be my most-hunted spot the last couple of seasons anyway. I usually hunt there in the evenings after work, which makes the drive a couple of minutes.
I feel for the guys who have to drive long distances.

200 yds to the woods, or 1.5 miles to the FWA. My problem is that I'm usually 31 miles away at work! Our busy time is the fall and it's hard to get time off then. If the rule changes pass, I'm no longer a firearms deer hunter. It's hard enough finding time to hunt in a 2 week season.
