the last 2 weekends were rough on the hunters but they were also rough on the birds. during that last week of watching the telecheck numbers was pretty impressive. with like 5 days left the numbers were around 28000 birds taken. and by the way there are still more than enough birds left for years to come. the monday after the season was closed i sat and watched 5 longbeards strutting in a field with a few hens and a jake. the record harvest might not last but maybe a year.

there were a ton of birds in Carrol/Henry county, they could lose just about every nest and be o.k. next year

here in indiana, the southern part was heck,,,,,,,,i think having may weather in april killed the season
