Thinkin' about driving over to Greene-Sullivan area tomorrow. Anyone know of areas where a bank fisherman might catch a few 'gills over there?
Thanks for any and all help.

You really can't go wrong on any of the lakes, they all have good bluegill fishing.

not too many of the lakes have much bank fishing though, many of them have steep sloping wooded surrounding but resevoir 26 has a very long stretch of bank that is nice and wampler has a good place to bank fish as well. the bite was extremely slow this past weekend though so hopefully it will pick up for when you go

Appreciate the feedback. Didn't get to go this past weekend.

If you go back, I understand it is relatively easy to catch rainbow trout off of the handicap pier at south end of Airline lake in the evenings. Use a half crawler on a slip bobber, just off the bottom, real deep.
Make sure you know the rules and have a trout stamp, as you might get checked there. A friend said he has caught a bunch of them this year.

I've fished Ariline a few times. When I went we used corn and a small marshmellow. They love corn and the marshmellow was used as a float. one or two splitshots abour a foot above the hook and that will drop the line to the bottom and then the mellow will float the corn up. That's the best way I know and the bait that worked best for us. Just another option. BB

Bruces bait shop just west of the Shakamak main entrance rents boats. I think it runs around $40 per day.

Hey, I just bought me a small 9' plastic dinghy. It ought to work quite well in small bodies of water. No motor, just oar power. I'm looking forward to trying it out!
