My IDNR buddy told me this was already a done deal before the IDNR even met with the stakeholders or ran this survey. Both are for public appeasement ONLY..

Regardless of what IDNR decides we have to live with it. It's obvious many of us don't agree on parts of these things and that's natural, were human. Regardless, we can only do one thing after everything is in the books and that's hunt. Go to work, pay the bills, raise our family and HUNT, c'mon how cool is that!

Oh well, I was getting bored with deer hunting anyway. I hope those manipulating the system will be happy with the results. If enough hunters get disgusted with the whole business and quit deer hunting, the IDNR will no longer collect enough funds to effectively manage the herd and it will fall into private hands. Unintended consequences and all that.

Sort of but I'd rather hunt waterfowl then sit in a tree stand so it would just make my decision for me easier. thats what I alwas called cutting off your nose to spite your face think about it

Anyway, I could always shoot them off my deck without buying a tag if I choose to do so. ;D

I believe it's their agenda. I'm just afraid those responsible have convinced a lot of unsuspecting people to lobby on their behalf and those unsuspecting people may not understand what may happen as a result.

Well, the rough draft of the 2010 Hunting booklet should be in the final stages by now, with the final tweeking before it is sent to the printers. Some time around the 1st of June it should be on the shelves if all goes well, so let's be patient as law abiding adults should be.

I thought they were doing away with the printed version of the regs? Yes sir.. That is what I had heard and confirmed it at Gander Mountain just the other day. They will have to get the word out on these changes as not every Indiana deer hunter has internet access or even tunes in to the IDNR website or one of the Indiana hunting sites.

So when is this new plan supposed to be released? I thought it was this week sometime... I was told by the IDNR that "some more information" would be released this week. I imagine that they are quite busy so that might go back a week or two?? It will be out for sure by May18.

Well that sucks, I always carried a copy in the truck just in case there was some confusion while out in the field about bag limits, dates etc..
