Me and Romer finally got out and did some walking today looking for some sheds, we searched for almost 3 hours today............... and this is what we found. A 6 point skull, with some dandy brow tines on him for a young buck............. and Romer found this right side shed off of a buck we call "crabclaw", that both of us have seen from our stands during hunting season. We have some trailcam pics of him too, these are the best 2 though....... NOW, his shed was lying in the middle of a group of sapplings where he had RUBBED them, knocking his shed off................... causing what looks to be premature shedding. Possibly causing damage to his pedicel. Do you think this could cause a problem with his new growth this coming Fall??Here is a close up........

I am by no means an expert but I'd say it is a bug or something eating at after he shed??

I don't think that it will interfere with his natural antler growth. Probably just some crud attatched due to the premature shedding. Just an opinion.
