Makes up my mind, I'll take my chances with Kentucky (half the cost).

They know the horn hunters will pay it I guess. Who can afford that much $$$ for a short hunt? They must have more vacation time than I do, or else they are retired! That's a lot of money for a few days and no guarentee. To each his own I guess! Did you read any of the comments? I'm not suprised some of the locals are tired of NR hunters.

Sheesh ! I don't like it, but I'll pay it again this season. Still way cheaper than a lot of other forms of recreation, and way cheaper than many other hunts. Hard to beat Illinois whitetail hunting.

I'm like everyone else, I hate to see it (again).
I try to justify it this way.......
I'll probably spend around $1000 hunting Illinois this year but I wont go out west or to Canada. I'll consider Illinois my "hunting trip" for the year. The good thing about Illinois being my hunting trip is that I can hunt it for 3 months instead of 1 week.

I'll second your buddies opinions buckeater. You ought to go on a western hunting trip if you never have. No comparison at all to hunting around here. It's totally different deal and really an awesome experience. Nothing like hunting the mountains with a flat shooting centerfire rifle.
