Gun hunting in Wisconsin... MADISON, Wis. -- A state report said deer hunters shot dramatically fewer buildings during Wisconsin's November gun hunt. A Department of Natural Resources report said hunters shot 10 buildings. That's down from 25 in 2008, 19 in 2007 and 15 in 2006. The report describes the buildings as homes and barns. It said more rural residential development has put more buildings on the landscape. Authorities said they have determined the identity of the shooter in five of the incidents. Four of the shootings involved a rifle and another four a shotgun. The weapon in the remaining two incidents was unknown. www.channel3000.com/news/22176010/detail.html

Of course since it happens during deer season - deer hunters are the suspected shooters.

Anything to give hunting a blackeye..why would they report that?...Someone has an agenda. Wisconson has an agenda to exterminate all whitetail deer in a 400 mile radius - their excuse is CWD. Could you imagine being a landowner and hunter who lives is this 400 mile area? The state legislature and DNR's agenda shows blatant disregard toward the hunters and outdoorsmen of the state. All because of a Mule deer in Colorado was diagnosed with CWD back in the 1960's. Does Colorado still have elk, mule deer, whitetail deer?

SOUNDS LIKE A FEW OPENING DAYS IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN THAT I HAVE WITNESSED IN THE WOODS. WHERE HUNTERS SEE MOVEMENT THEN UNLOAD INTO THE BRUSH. SOME OF THESE HUNTERS SHOULD NOT BE IN THE WOODS, LET ALONE OWN A GUN. THAT IS WHY I TRY TO FILL MY TAGS DURING ARCHERY SEASON.
