friend said last night a doe got hit and its in front of there house..said it looked in good shape..not mangled,..would some of the meat be good? ???ill process it my self..7 degrees right now/// its been 12 hours

Just cut out the straps and quarters. I took home a lot of road kill in my day.

Make sure you get a permit first, I think you need a permit from CO or LO before you take a road kill home.

Yep, the deer has to be tagged. And you have to take the whole deer. You can't just cut out what you want and leave the rest.
