I hunted Illinois tonight and the deer were moving good.
I saw my first deer at 2:45 CST. Before the evening was over I had seen 13 deer. Eleven were does/fawns and two were bucks.
I had a 2 1/2 year old six pointer (no brow tines) at 20 yards and I never took the bow off the hook. He will never be any better than a six pinter, but I let him walk.
Some of the does were huge, but at this stage of the game I'm still after a buck.
Good luck to all on the last weekend of MZ in Indiana..should be good.

was out ALL day... saw nothing but squirrels and turkeys.
I even stayed for another 30 minutes after dark, just to see if anything moved when I couldn't shoot. They were in the same field after dark last night, but didn't come out tonight...
I go thicket busting in the snow tomorrow I think.

They were moving good this morning. I almost had a shot at a buck that would have scored around 140s but due to this being the last day I could hunt I had to settle on a 1/2 rack that was trailing behind the the larger buck. I seen a total of 4 bucks this morning, good way for me to end the season.

..................i do not have this trait of knowing when the deer are moving, thats why i have to hunt hard and all the time to see deer, i used to hunt with a guy that would lay around camp and do nothing ( and i'm hunting every day)then its like a light bulb turns on ,mostly the evening hunt, he is getting his gear ready and and shooting his bow, sure enough they moved and earily too!!!!..........i do get a lot more excercise...good luck to all, these last days of muzzy season........ ..............turkey scout

I had a nice 8 pointer in my crosshairs at 150 yards, but he never cleared the brush, so I didn't have a good shot. Lots of deer moving early and a great morning to be outdoors.

Truly awesome day! Unfortunately the snow never stuck real well where I was hunting but that didn't stop the deer from moving. Nearly had a very large doe for the frrezer but she wouldn't stand still long enough for a good shot.
