I never heard of it before. You guys are probably right, the latest High Tech Name for "one who pumps full service gas and cleans the windshield"! Hey, as bad as things are now, a lot of us may be doing the same thing to put food on the table and someone has to do it. The guy might be our supervisor someday! Great Deer!

I can't remember the last time I saw a full service station, do they still exist? I know one that has one pump dedicated to full service.

Awesome buck!! I remember hearing about it around town when it was shot and seeing the pictures on here. I think I am going to have to try to hunt New York soon. Did you read the comment about "that is just a little bit bigger than a typical one" up that way? It was several comments below the guy that on several occasions has shot does that "weighed 200-240 field dressed" and "bucks that are six points or higher weigh from 240 up".

Two things. 1st Field and Stream is what a monthly magazine that is written and printed a couple of months in advance of its sales? Pictures and articles on them would have to be edited into the next months publication. I liked this magazine. Just don't read it any more. To much television. As some one who worked in a full service filling station while in the service and some after I don't see the reason to make fun of someone that is at least trying to work and make a living instead of living off of welfare (some of whom make more than he does).

As for the full service thing, if you go to Oregon it is ALL full service. You aren't allowed to pump your own. I believe there are a few states like that. And I gotta go with I-hick on this one. I don't think anyone was trying to be mean spirited, but let's realize that some folks have to struggle to stay a float and any honest work done to that end is commendable. I can tell you that I am very thankful for the dudes that clean our porta-potties so I don't have to!!!!

Got to thinking about it and got to wondering. Are you making fun of that pretentious title that was given for that job not the person doing it. If making fun of the title is what you mean then I am right there with you. Good golly miss Molly, why make such a pretentious title. I wasn't ashamed of being either a car jockey (worked in a parking lot), or being a gas jockey. Or is that part of the new world of being politically correct. If it is political correctness is sometimes stupid and leads to undo ridicule.

I thought us single guys just jazzed up our job titles to impress women? Go figure, now the married guys are stealing our thunder! ;d

It was several comments below the guy that on several occasions has shot does that "weighed 200-240 field dressed" and "bucks that are six points or higher weigh from 240 up". I'm not defending the statement because I think he's full of it, but there are some big bodied deer up here in the northeast. I heard of a buck near Greenville, Maine being taken this year that dressed out at 300 pounds. The state record here is 289 pounds. There was a buck taken within 15 miles (as the crow flies) from my house this year on December 6 that weighed 268- and that's POST-rut weight! The deer are few and far between, but they do get heavy.

Nobody is making fun of anybody. I know I wasn't. I appreciate the guy that can come out and change my wiper blades. It takes me a half hour to figure them out. I think people were talking about the high tech title for the job. Somebody has to do these jobs. It is just funny how they have changed the names in our modern society. I guess you could even call them a Petroleum Engineering Tech. If Jeff Foxworthy or the Cable guy said it we would all laugh.
