I never start a new season unless all the meat from the previous season is used up, so my wife and I are always trying new recipes. This year we took the remaining deer roasts and slow cooked them in a crock pot we then made 72 pierogies stuffed with deer meat. These were in addition to ones stuffed with cabbage, potato, sour kraut with mushrooms and of course sweet cheese. We love to fry these up in mushrooms and onions and have them with a fish fry.

One of my Scouts brought me over one made with squirrel last year-that's one of the best tasting pieces of squirrel I've had in a long time.
