I have 2 boxes of brass from these that I kept to see if they can be reloaded and will probably have a third.

I just worked up loads for a Marlin 44 mag using 270 grain Gold Dot bullets and 20.0 grains of H110 powder. h.h.

Woody:

They are for sale although very pricey. I can't remember exactly where I seen them but it was either Cabelas, Midway or Natchez or maybe all three. I just remember you can almost buy a factory loaded box for what you pay for just the bullets!

As far as I know, A 44 Mag case is a 44 Mag case. As long as it is in specs. of course.
I think that even if you did buy the Hornady bullets, you would not necessarily duplicate the Leverevolution performance. You'd also need their powder. Could be word has gotten out by now as to what they use. Maybe someone knows, but are any (or all) of the Leverevolution loads compressed loads?

Midsouth Shooter's has the bullets in .358. They are out of the ones for .44. They are called Hornady Flex Tip. I believe that the .358 ones are $31 per hundred.
No idea what powder they use for factory loads.

Last I checked, the component bullets were going for ~$26/50 at Midway. It's been a long while since I've looked though, so I have no idea on the accuracy of that price or if they are even currently available. I'd load them up for you, Woody, but the powders I have require magnum primers and I don't have any mag primers right now. As an aside, you really need to "work up" a load for your particular gun. Meaning you need to shoot various charges and maybe various powders before you find what is most accurate in your gun. Every gun is different. One more thing, if the loaded ammo is shipped back to you, it can not go through USPS as it is considered hazardous. Primers and powder are not OK through USPS, but brass is, as is primed brass. Loaded ammo is another no-no so it must go through UPS with "ORM-D" marked on the box.
